One command moves your whole setup
Codex 0.145's /import migrates your MCP servers, plugins, slash commands, past sessions and project-scoped memories straight out of Claude Code and Cursor, even turning plugin commands into skills. Trialing Codex no longer means rebuilding your config from scratch.
Voice sessions and stable sub-agents
The same build adds audio inputs and streaming realtime V3 conversations, so you can drive a session by voice, and stabilizes multi-agent V2 with configurable sub-agent models, per-agent reasoning levels and concurrency. GPT-5.6 Sol is now the default model on Bedrock.
Block ships an open-source agent workspace
Buzz (Apache 2.0, built on the Nostr protocol) launched July 21 as a Slack-plus-GitHub rival where AI agents are full members with their own cryptographic keys. It speaks the open Agent Client Protocol, so Claude Code, Codex and goose plug in, and you can self-host the relay or use Block's free hosted beta.
Claude Managed Agents gain effort dials
Anthropic's Developer Platform added an effort level to agent model configs, seven new environment.* and memory_store.* webhook events, and the option to seed a session with up to 50 initial messages — finer-grained control if you build on Claude Managed Agents.
