Describe an outcome and a coordinator thread scopes it, spins up independent Claude Code cloud sessions on their own repo branches, reviews the outputs, and assembles the result. Shared project memory carries decisions and preferences across threads, cutting repeat prompt engineering.
The beta gate: Pro/Max, cloud-only, waitlist
It's opening to select Pro and Max users who don't already have web or desktop projects, and runs only in cloud sessions for now. Local execution behind your own network and Team/Enterprise access come later; you join through a waitlist.
Codex CLI 0.155.0 learns to listen
Experimental `/voice` conversations with live transcripts and mic controls arrive in the terminal, alongside live reasoning summaries in the status row. Touch ID now gates MCP requests on supported Macs, and you can hide, archive, or delete tasks in the agents overview.
GPT-5.5 gets an Oct 14 shutdown — the API is spared
OpenAI will retire GPT-5.5 from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex on October 14; the API is excluded. Update saved model settings, workspace defaults, custom agents, scheduled tasks, and any scripts that still pin it before then.
ChatGPT ships as a Word add-in, free tier included
A new sidebar drafts from notes, summarizes documents, revises selected text, and adjusts headings and formatting inside Microsoft Word. It's on every plan including free — the token allowance scales with your tier — and installs from the Microsoft Marketplace.
Elsewhere: Claude folds Cowork into chat
Anthropic merged Cowork and chat into a single app, adding Claude Docs, Slides, and Design directly inside conversations with export to PowerPoint or PDF. It's rolling out on Pro and Max, with beta on paid plans.
