Everything is a plugin, and one npx command runs it
DeepSeek open-sourced Harness v0.1 under the MIT license — an agentic coding framework where models, tools, sandboxes, sessions, storage, loops, scheduling and the UI are all swappable plugins (via its Cordis system). Run `npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web` to launch the local web UI at 127.0.0.1:3080, or clone and build from source with pnpm.
A real Claude Code rival that records every run
Every session writes to an append-only log you can resume, fork, search and replay, across Standard, Code, Minimal and Creator runtime modes (Minimal strips down to a shell and file editor for clean benchmarking). 712 projects signed up within three days of the beta call — this is aimed squarely at the Claude Code and Codex agent-stack slot.
Update: the V4-Pro price hike now has a date — Aug 16
The increase flagged at V4-Pro's launch lands Aug 16 at 4 PM UTC: peak rates hit $1.32/M input and $3.96/M output ($0.66/$1.98 off-peak), up from $0.435/$0.87. Cache hits take the worst hit — from roughly 1/120th of the input rate to 1/30th — so front-load cache-heavy and batch jobs before the deadline.
Elsewhere: Anthropic reportedly eyeing Decart for ~$6B
Multiple outlets report Anthropic is in early-stage talks to buy Israeli startup Decart — known for real-time generative video and GPU optimization — for about $6 billion, which would be its largest acquisition yet. Nothing is signed, but real-time video and inference-efficiency tech landing inside Claude is worth watching.
