What actually retires on Aug 30
Only the standalone DALL-E GPT is being removed from ChatGPT — not image generation itself. ChatGPT's native gpt-image-1 tools and any custom GPTs with images enabled keep working. But OpenAI hasn't said what happens to images saved inside the DALL-E GPT, so download anything you want to keep before the 30th.
Copilot seats go pay-first
GitHub is tightening Copilot billing: from Sept 1, new Business and Enterprise seats require payment before anyone gets access; from Oct 1, existing card/PayPal accounts are charged per seat upfront and must pay to keep going past included usage. List prices don't change — but free trials of seats and free overage do.

On Sept 28, Copilot code review's default effort flips from Lite to Balanced across every repo and org. Reviews get more thorough automatically — and burn more premium requests per PR. On usage-based billing, budget for higher review spend or set the level back to Lite.
No, Sonnet 5 isn't getting pricier Monday
Several release trackers still flag a Sept 1 jump to $3/$15 per million tokens for Claude Sonnet 5. It was cancelled: Anthropic made the $2 input / $10 output introductory rate the permanent standard. Nothing changes on the 1st — no 50% bill increase to plan around.
Gemini Omni's preview endpoint sunsets Sept 30
gemini-omni-1.1-flash is now GA, and the old gemini-omni-flash-preview alias deprecates Sept 30. Repoint your video-gen calls to the stable ID before then; GA adds 4K output and 2-image interpolation the preview didn't have.
