A frontier image model that fits an 8GB card
FLUX 3 Image Klein packs native 4K, bounding-box placement, pixel-perfect editing and up to 10 reference images into 5.6B parameters. The INT8 build runs on any 8GB RTX — about 4s per 1MP image on a 5090, under 9s on a 4070 — so near-frontier generation now self-hosts on hardware you already own.
Free to ship under $5M — and 5x cheaper on the API
The FLUX Kommunity License gives free commercial use to anyone under $5M annual revenue; above that you need a self-host license or the API. The hosted distilled model runs $0.009 per 1K image versus $0.048 for the full FLUX 3 Image, and a separate base checkpoint LoRA-tunes via Diffusers, AI Toolkit or NVIDIA NeMo.
Kling 4.0 ships 30-second single-pass video
Live now on the web: one-shot 30-second clips, extend any upload to two minutes, up to 15 reference assets and 10 keyframes, and 8,000-token prompts. 4K 10-bit HDR and 21:9 are 'coming soon,' and the developer API is still pending — but the weekend project is usable today.
Eight states sue OpenAI over harm to minors
AGs in Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska and West Virginia sued OpenAI, alleging ChatGPT harmed young users and that its safety claims misled; some suits seek deletion of data collected from children. Expect tighter age-gating and guardrails to ripple through every ChatGPT-based product.
