  • Agents API now runs computer use

The Agents API adds computer use alongside multi-agent orchestration, tool search, tool calling, and context compaction — one agent can now drive real software end to end. It's live via the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work on Pro 500 and Enterprise. You can build click-through app agents without wiring your own browser harness.

  • Codex moves to the cloud

Codex Cloud runs tasks remotely from any device on reusable, team-shared environments with approved settings, and the refreshed CLI adds voice steering, a cleaner /agents delegation view, and git worktrees. Available on Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise. Kick off long jobs from your phone and come back to a diff.

  • Decisions API enters preview

A new primitive returns real-time, finite-answer decisions from text or images — built for content classification, request routing, and agent action selection — with broad release promised 'in the coming days.' It's a calibrated, cheap classifier you call instead of prompting a full model and parsing JSON.

  • Codex Security Cloud scans every commit

Automated repository scanning runs ongoing per-commit checks, investigates findings, and prepares fixes, for Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans. It's a second set of eyes on each push without standing up your own SAST pipeline.

  • Ultrafast tier hits 300 tokens/sec

A premium speed tier generates tokens about 8x faster in Codex (300 tok/s) and roughly 6x in the API; GPT-6 Astra is live on Pro 500 and Enterprise, with GPT-6.1 Sol 'coming soon.' Interactive agent loops stop feeling laggy — if you're on the top plan.

  • MCP Events and AWS-native agents

MCP Events lets connected apps trigger automations — watch a project board, act on new tasks — and Bedrock Managed Agents let you run OpenAI Agents API capabilities entirely inside AWS. Event-driven plugins, plus an AWS path for regulated stacks.
