Elorian's Glimpse API is live: a model that re-examines the image
A research-preview model that crops and replays frames mid-reasoning, at $0.60/$3 per M tokens. Plus a 9.8 RCE in Archon and Google's agent-checkout push.

Reasons with the image, not just about it
Glimpse can crop regions, pull specific video frames, and run code to measure what it sees mid-reasoning, instead of tokenizing a picture once. API access is open in the research preview at $0.60 per million input tokens and $3 per million output; the chat UI is still waitlisted. Elorian says it beats GPT-6 Astra on chart reasoning and video captioning — its own evals, so verify before you trust them.
A 9.8 RCE in Archon: firewall the agent this weekend
CVE-2026-111322 leaves the Archon coding agent's control API unauthenticated and bound to 0.0.0.0 by default across versions 0.2.13 through 0.11.1, so anyone on your network can drive the agent and inherit its execution rights. No vendor patch exists yet — rebind it to 127.0.0.1 or block the port now.
Google ships an open checkout protocol agents can call
Universal Cart launched in the US on Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), which Google says interoperates with MCP, A2A, and AP2 — one standard to wire agentic shopping flows against, with 20+ partners including Walmart, Ulta Beauty, and Wayfair.
ChatGPT's Chrome extension can now drive your tabs
The extension picked up two modes: 'Chat' reads across your open tabs, and 'Work' controls them — sending messages, filling forms, and downloading files. Browser automation for routine web tasks without standing up a headless stack.
Research radar: Claude redesigned quantum circuits on its own
In an Anthropic experiment, Claude worked largely autonomously across eight quantum-computing tasks; one modular-inversion circuit it designed uses 12% more qubits but 17x fewer gates. A concrete data point on agents doing real design work, not just code.
