Profiles: one versioned ID for your whole agent
Perplexity's Agent API now saves an agent's model, instructions, tools, Skills, and managed connectors under one versioned Profile you set up once and call from anywhere. Managed connectors cover GitHub, Slack, Google Drive, Linear, Notion, and Datadog, so your agent acts across those tools without you hand-wiring OAuth.
Cloudflare Forge: any API to an SDK, CLI, or MCP server
Forge is a new open-source (Apache-2.0) pipeline that generates SDKs, CLIs, docs, and MCP servers straight from an OpenAPI spec, and it chains outputs so a CLI can be built from the generated TypeScript SDK. Point it at any API this weekend and get a typed client plus an agent-ready MCP server without paying for a hosted generator.
Kern: a rootless sandbox for agent tool-calls
getkern/kern is a fast, rootless sandbox and virtual-resource runtime that runs any workload -- an agent's tool call or model-written Python and Node -- in a real container with a read-only root, dropped capabilities, and no network by default. It lands the same week as the OpenAI agent-breach headlines, giving solo builders an open way to box in code they didn't write.
