  • The 5-hour wall comes down

Verified Claude Ultra accounts ($200/mo) no longer hit Claude Code's rolling 5-hour session cap, so a long refactor or debugging run won't force a pause mid-flow. Anthropic rolled it out to most existing subscribers automatically — no action needed.

  • Max 20x is 'Ultra' now, Max 5x is just 'Max'

The top tiers got relabeled: Max 5x becomes Max ($100/mo, $100 in monthly API credits) and Max 20x becomes Ultra ($200/mo, $200 in credits). Prices and Pro's $20 are unchanged, and existing subscribers move over automatically.

  • 'Verified' is doing the heavy lifting

The uncapped sessions apply only to verified accounts — verification is automatic from account and payment history, and new accounts stay temporarily capped until it clears (a phone number at checkout isn't enough). The weekly cap (10x Pro usage) still stands; overflow bills at standard API rates. Settings → Usage shows no 'Current session' bar once you're verified.

  • Copilot sessions now follow you across devices

GitHub's connected Copilot cloud experience is GA: start an agent session on your phone, resume it on the web, in VS Code, or the CLI, with the sandbox snapshotting state between surfaces. Paid plans only — and cloud-sandbox billing starts this month, drawing from a shared dollar-based Actions pool.
