Cursor pulls cost data from its usage page and CSV export
Dollar amounts vanished from Cursor's dashboard and CSV overnight — one break called accidental, one deliberate. Why it stings, and how to watch spend now.

What disappeared
Cursor removed dollar costs from the usage page, stripped the cost column from the usage-events CSV export, and dropped the small circular cost indicator next to context usage. Token counts stay; the dollar mapping is gone.
'Accidental,' then not
A Cursor staffer said the CSV cost break was accidental — collateral from 'cleaning up an old feature flag.' But the dashboard's dollar graph was pulled on purpose: plan usage shown as '$' is 'not what you're billed,' and they called it confusing.
Why daily users care
On-demand usage is billed in dollars, and the cost badge was the fastest way to catch an expensive model left on. Users now say it's 'so much easier to accidentally leave an expensive model enabled' — several are threatening to cancel.
What to do before your next bill
Until costs return: set a hard on-demand spend limit in billing, treat the still-visible token counts as your only in-app signal, and if you archive usage, pair the now cost-less CSV with your actual invoice.
