The math behind the "25% raise"
The +50% weekly boost that has run since May and been extended four times ends Sept 13 at 11:59 PM PT. On Sept 14 it is replaced by a permanent +25% tier - but that 25% is measured against the old pre-promo baseline, so your weekly capacity actually drops ~17% from today (roughly 150 to 125 units). Five-hour rate limits are untouched.
Who keeps a boost, who loses one
Pro, Max, Team, and legacy seat-based Enterprise seats get the permanent +25%; Free and consumption-based Enterprise seats are excluded. If you lean on Claude Code, front-load heavy weeks before the Sept 13 cutoff - the meter you have used since spring is the one going away.
Why the number games at all
Anthropic tried usage-based billing in June and pulled it after backlash; this permanent-tier reshuffle is the follow-up as agentic sessions burn ever more tokens. It pitched the change as 'more insight and control over your usage,' while conceding it is a cut versus current limits - worth knowing before you plan a big build week.
Elsewhere: Gemini 3.8 Flash's GA price
Google's most capable Flash model is now generally available at $0.75/$3.75 per million input/output tokens, with a 1M-token context and native multimodal input (text, image, video, audio, PDF) - tuned for long-horizon agents and coding. A cheap default worth benchmarking against your current Flash-tier calls.
Elsewhere: A zero-trust gate for agent tool calls
JetStream's new Clearance authorizes each agent action before it runs, blocking risky sequences like data-exfiltration patterns mid-flow instead of logging them after the fact - a drop-in control layer if you are shipping multi-step agents to production.
