The promo is over: +50% → +25%
Anthropic's temporary 50% boost to Claude Code weekly limits — live since May 13 — ended September 13. From September 14, standard weekly limits sit permanently 25% above the pre-promo baseline for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise. Free and usage-based Enterprise seats are unaffected.
Why it lands as a 17% cut
If you coded through the summer at +50%, dropping to +25% is roughly 17% less weekly headroom than you had — a real tightening even though the headline says 'increase.' Heavy Claude Code users will hit the weekly wall sooner than they did last week.
What didn't move
The 5-hour rolling limits, plan pricing, and the separate limits on Claude web, desktop, mobile and Cowork are all unchanged. Only Claude Code's weekly caps shifted, and no new plan tiers were introduced.
Check yours: run /usage
Run `/usage` in the Claude Code CLI or an IDE extension to see your updated weekly allowance and how much is left. If you leaned on the summer headroom, front-load heavier tasks earlier in the week — the 5-hour window is untouched.
