Open weights, 150 languages, no API bill
Index-Translate-35B-A3B is a Qwen3.5-based mixture-of-experts — 36B total but only 3B active, so it serves fast and cheap. The Apache-2.0 license means you can stand up a 150-language translation backend on your own hardware today, with no per-token metering.
Glossary and format locks, not a prompt guess
It accepts hard constraints — enforce a glossary, preserve tags, markup, and layout — plus soft ones for style and domain. With a 262K-token config (≈32K practical for serving), that's enough to point at real docs, subtitle files, or a localization pipeline instead of one-off strings.
2B and 9B siblings for the laptop tier
The same family's dense 2B and 9B checkpoints shipped days earlier, small enough to run on a single GPU or a laptop. Prototype on the small one, graduate to the MoE when you need the quality — all under one license.
