Your repos now live in the editor
Origin's new Codebase tab holds full repos, pull requests with timelines, commits, checks and file diffs, plus code browsing and search — so you can open, review and merge a PR without ever leaving Cursor. A separate CLI handles cloning and pushing.
GitHub stays the source of truth
Origin two-way syncs with GitHub: your pushes still land there and pull requests mirror in both directions. Adoption is optional and non-destructive — a workbench layer over your existing repo, not a migration.
Agents and your deploy stack are wired in
Cursor's agents get direct access to the hosted code, and Vercel, Depot and Buildkite integrations ship at launch — so an agent can open a PR and your CI and deploys pick it up in the same place.
The catch: beta, paid-only, agents deferred
Origin is early beta on Pro, Teams and Enterprise — no free plan — and bundled at no extra cost. The more ambitious agent-native features are explicitly held back, with Cursor saying they 'ship soon.'

A companion update gives cloud agents pre-built environments — Cursor claims 3x faster time-to-first-token and environments that boot roughly 10x faster, so background agents start working almost instantly.
