WeatherNext 2 is now live on Open-Meteo's Ensemble API — 64 ensemble members at 0.25° resolution, out to 15 days, refreshed twice daily, free for non-commercial use with no API key. Native fields cover 2m temperature, precipitation, and 10m/100m winds across 13 pressure levels.
Why the model is a step change
DeepMind's Functional Generative Network runs about 8x faster than its predecessor and beats traditional physics models on probabilistic accuracy, producing hundreds of coherent scenarios instead of one deterministic line. It already powers Pixel Weather and Google Search.
