Meta opens Muse to outside developers with Stripe agentic payments

Developers can now submit connectors to Meta's Muse assistant for functional, security and legal review; each request runs in a secure VM and Muse asks before doing anything consequential. Meta's pitch — 'you bring the API, Muse brings the agent, the browser, and the context of what the person actually wants' — means your service can act inside a consumer assistant that just hit No. 1 on the App Store, without you shipping an agent of your own.
Stripe turns a connector into a storefront
Meta partnered with Stripe so connectors can take agentic payments right inside the chat, with purchases run through single-use cards via Link by Stripe. For a small business that's a new place to both reach and charge customers; revenue-share and fee terms weren't disclosed.
Notion and Granola are live, and it runs everywhere
Notion and Granola shipped as launch connectors, with Gmail, Google Calendar and Spotify shown in demos. Muse runs on iOS, Android, web, WhatsApp and a new macOS app and just expanded to Canada with Link wallet support, so one connector reaches users across all of them.
Elsewhere: Claude's API will compact its own context
Anthropic's Messages API added on-demand compaction (beta header compact-2026-09-04): send a top-level compaction parameter and the API returns a signed summary block, so you keep recent turns verbatim while older ones collapse — and it stays prompt-cache compatible. For long agent runs, that's context-window relief you no longer have to hand-roll.
