Sonnet 5.5: cheaper per task, out-codes Opus 5.5
claude-sonnet-5-5 keeps Sonnet 5's $2/$10-per-million pricing but runs 30%+ faster and cuts cost about 30% per task by using fewer tokens and fewer tool calls. It posts 70.6% on Terminal-Bench 4.0 and edges Opus 5.5 on agentic coding, while defaulting to Medium effort in Claude Code. Haiku 5.5 follows in the coming weeks.
Cloudflare's cf CLI exposes 3,000 API ops, retires Wrangler
cf (install with npm i -g cf, open beta now) hands agents the full ~3,000-operation Cloudflare API versus Wrangler's ~280, with JSON output by default and a natural-language cf cli search for command discovery. Cloudflare will ship one final Wrangler that points you and your agent to cf, then maintain it for 18 months — start planning the migration.
AMD buys World Labs for $8.2B; Fei-Fei Li joins as chief scientist
AMD is acquiring the spatial-AI startup behind the Marble world model for $8.2B, expected to close by year-end, with Li becoming EVP and chief scientist. AMD frames it as pairing compute with frontier models to chase Nvidia; the announcement doesn't yet say whether Marble's world-generation stays open to outside builders, so watch for access changes.
