Devin adds voice mode: talk through an approach, hand off the code

OpenAI's day-old GPT-Live powers it; the call stays open as you navigate, hold-Space to cut in, silence to think. Plus: ChatGPT gains Dropbox and Box.

  • Talk it through, then hand it off

Devin's new voice mode lets you call the agent, reason out loud through an approach, and delegate the task without touching the keyboard. Whatever you'd typed rides along when the call starts, and the exchange drops into your session history like any other message.

  • Full-duplex — and the controls that make it bearable

It listens while it talks, running on OpenAI's GPT-Live-1, which only reached general availability on Sept 10 at $0.05/min. Mute and hold-Space to cut in, hit 'Silence Devin' to kill its audio without muting yourself, and the call stays live as you move around Devin. Reportedly it pairs GPT-Live with the new SWE-2 model to do the actual coding.

  • Build this weekend: triage a bug from your phone

A voice line into an autonomous SWE agent turns dead time into shipped work — walk through a bug report out loud on your commute, hand Devin the repro, and review the PR when you're back at the desk. Hands-free pair-programming is suddenly a real workflow, not a demo.

  • Elsewhere: ChatGPT reaches into Dropbox, Box, SharePoint

OpenAI added native Dropbox, Box and SharePoint connectors to the ChatGPT Library for paid users, on top of the Google Docs/Sheets/Slides access it already had. Pull your own files into a chat as context without the copy-paste.
