  • Own the whole stack: a private AI agent in your Cloudflare account

Talorys is a new MIT-licensed personal assistant — chat, memory, tasks, notes, reminders — that deploys with a single `npx create-talorys@latest` and runs entirely in your own Cloudflare account (Pages, Workers, Durable Objects), with no vendor server, login, or telemetry. It's built for the Workers Free plan and calls Workers AI's GLM-4.7-flash, so a fully-owned assistant costs nothing until you hit Cloudflare's daily AI quota.

  • Nvidia may buy the open-weight lab it just funded

The FT reports Nvidia is in talks to acquire Reflection AI — or deepen its existing stake — days after Reflection shipped Beam, its first open-weight model. If you were banking on Beam's weights staying open, an acquisition reportedly on the table is worth watching: ownership could reshape whether future Reflection models ship open at all.

  • Copilot for JetBrains lets you gate MCP server startup

GitHub's Oct 10 JetBrains Copilot update adds a setting to stop MCP servers from auto-starting for Copilot and Claude, so configured tools activate only when you choose. It also adds a “Fix” action in the diagnostics menu that opens inline chat in agent mode, plus admin-managed default models for new conversations.

  • Reply to your local Cursor agents from your phone

Cursor's new remote control lets you view and respond to agents running on your desktop straight from the iOS app — no cloud agents needed — handy for nudging a long task while away. It's on by default except for Enterprise orgs, and your machine has to stay awake, plugged in, and online.
