OpenAI's Codex and Work lead, Thibault 'Tibo' Sottiaux, pledged that each day for 28 days the team ships one clear improvement for most Codex/Work users—or a full usage reset. The run kicked off this week and lands around Nov 1.
A 'reset' refills your bucket once—it's not a raise
A reset tops your weekly allowance back to full a single time; it doesn't lift your ceiling going forward. Handy if you're throttled right now, but no reset is guaranteed for any given account, so don't size your workflow around it.
Pro 200's Codex allowance gets halved Oct 30
On Oct 30, Pro 200's Work/Codex allowance drops from 20x Plus to 10x, and GPT-6 Pro chat falls from 200 to 100 messages a week. Eligible existing subscribers keep 20x through Oct 29; new or ineligible users are already capped at 10x.
Heavy Codex user? Decide before Oct 29
