Bend 2 blocks AI code mistakes with proofs, runs on GPU
Taelin's language re-checks every AI edit against your invariants and type-checks faster than Lean. Plus: Alibaba open-sources a cancer-detecting CT model.

Every AI edit re-checked against your laws
Bend 2, from HVM creator Victor Taelin, lets you declare invariants in a LAWS.bend file (with proofs in PROOF.bend); when an agent edits your code, the type-checker rejects any change that breaks a law and makes the model retry until it holds. One curl command installs it.
C-level speed, 124x on the GPU
The same source compiles to C, Metal, or CUDA with no threads or locks. On an M4 Max, Conway's Game of Life runs at 7.8s single-core (near C's 6.78s) and 0.06s across the GPU's 4,096 cores, and it type-checks 3,200 instances in 0.38s versus Lean's 19.2s.
Alibaba open-sources a radiologist-beating CT model
DAMO Academy's Damo RADAR reads contrast-enhanced CT across 18 abdominal organs and flags nearly 150 conditions, cancers included, at 0.913 average AUC over ~40,000 scans - beating 23 of 26 radiologists and cutting missed diagnoses by 10%. The weights are open, released today.
OpenAI ships a legal-research agent
GPT-6 Astra Law searches an index of 230M+ US case-law and statute URLs and reports a 40% relative gain over standard web search on legal benchmarks. It is live via the API and the Trusted Access program, with 26 plugins for tools like Relativity, Clio, and iManage.
