Your open weights outlive their host
Pirate Face wraps 669,000+ MIT- and Apache-2.0 models as SHA-256-checksummed BitTorrent magnets, with Hugging Face itself as a web-seed. While HF serves a file you pull at full speed; the day it's removed, the download falls back to the peer swarm marked "Rescued" — so a model you depend on can't be deleted out from under you.
Claude Code now reads AGENTS.md
Claude Code 2.1.278 lets a repo keep its instructions in AGENTS.md instead of CLAUDE.md — the cross-tool standard, so one file can drive multiple agents (not yet on Bedrock/Vertex/Foundry). The same release routes auto-mode through a server-side classifier, dropping the classifier-overhead charge for API, Enterprise, and gateway users.
ChatGPT's ad collector watches you off-site
OpenAI's new ad-tracking collector reportedly logs your activity on other websites and ties it back to your ChatGPT identity. If you ship on the ChatGPT platform or lean on it daily, that's a new cross-site data flow and consent surface to account for.
Suno's label deal didn't stop the lawsuits
UMG and Sony filed a second suit alleging Suno's new v6 model "launders" 60,202 of their recordings despite recent licensing deals. If your product generates music through Suno, the copyright ground under that dependency just got shakier.
