Seed 2.1 Turbo is now on OpenRouter at $0.50/M input and $2.50/M output, with a 262K-token context and up to 262K output tokens. It's a text-and-image multimodal model tuned for end-to-end software delivery — planning, debugging and self-correction across long-horizon agent runs — at roughly half the price of Seed 2.1 Pro. It is not open weights.
Cursor cloud agents boot 3x faster
Cursor's new “Builds” bakes your dependencies into pre-configured environments so cloud agents skip cold setup — 10x faster boot and 3x faster time to first token, included with Cloud Agents at no extra cost. If a fresh build fails, agents fall back to the last one that worked.
Codex desktop reaches Linux
OpenAI shipped its ChatGPT + Codex desktop app for Linux in preview on Aug 11, about a month behind Anthropic's Claude desktop. Linux developers now get the native Codex agent — local file access and context — without living in a browser tab.
Report: Anthropic weighs a $6B Decart buy
Multiple outlets report Anthropic is in talks to acquire Israeli startup Decart — known for real-time generative-video and world models — for about $6B, which would be its largest acquisition ever. It reportedly signals a push into video/world models and cheaper inference. Nothing is signed yet.
