Cursor agents can now start a project with no repo, then deploy it
'Start from scratch' brings browser previews and one-click Vercel deploys — plus Copilot's review default flips Sept 28 and Ling 3.0 Flash Fin goes free.

Start from scratch, no Git required
Cursor Cloud Agents no longer need a GitHub or SCM connection to run. Pick 'Start from scratch' in the repo picker, prompt the agent, and Cursor spins up a hosted Origin repo in the background — so you go from an idea to running code without wiring up version control first.
Preview in the browser, ship to Vercel in one click
The same release adds live in-browser previews of what the agent builds and a Vercel connection from the repo's Apps tab, so every pull request gets its own preview deployment. A weekend prototype can now go from a single prompt to a live URL without leaving the agent.
Copilot's code-review default gets deeper on Sept 28
GitHub is flipping Copilot's default code-review effort from 'Lite' to 'Balanced' on September 28. Balanced reviews are more thorough but do more work per run; if you want to keep today's lighter, faster behavior, set your orgs and repos back to 'Lite' before the switch.
Ling 3.0 Flash Fin is free on Vercel's AI Gateway until Sept 25
InclusionAI's Ling 3.0 Flash Fin is complimentary through the Vercel AI Gateway until September 25 — one API key, automatic fallbacks and per-request traces, with no provider account. A cheap month to run agent loops or evals against a fresh flash model.
