Personal connectors go dark Aug 14
Individual-user sync for connected apps in ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu is being retired: new personal connections stopped Aug 10, and on Aug 14 existing ones are disabled and deletion of the synced data begins. Google Drive, SharePoint, GitHub, GitLab Issues and Azure Boards are all in scope.
Admin-managed sync is the escape hatch
Admin-configured sync is untouched, so IT can keep Drive and SharePoint knowledge flowing via domain-wide delegation. If you lean on a personal connection, reconfigure it as admin-managed or switch to plugin (non-synced) access before Aug 14 -- or lose that context.
Business gets $125 Premium seats
New ChatGPT Business Premium seats run $125 per user monthly ($100 billed annually), deliver 5x the usage of Standard, and drop the five-hour cap for predictable weekly resets. Early adopters get 2,500 workspace credits ($100) per seat, up to $500; the signup window closes Aug 20.
Free and Go tiers quietly level up
GPT-5.6 Luna is becoming the default for Free and Go users this week, with unlimited text chats and a new Think button (on-demand extra reasoning) rolling out next. Limits still apply to file uploads and image generation.
