OpenAI's Decisions API returns typed answers at $0.10/M input
A /v1/decisions endpoint on GPT-6 Luna takes text and images — plus Google's watermark checker goes public and Deno lands at Cloudflare.

OpenAI opens the Decisions API to all developers
The /v1/decisions endpoint on GPT-6 Luna returns typed outputs — a true/false probability, one choice from a fixed set with confidence, or a weighted score — instead of free text, and now accepts images inline as base64. It's $0.10 per million input tokens with no charge for output or cache, and OpenAI claims up to 10x lower latency than the same call through the Responses API. Purpose-built for classification, request routing, and picking an agent's next tool or action.
Google's SynthID Detector opens to everyone
The watermark checker is now public worldwide and reads SynthID marks from Google, OpenAI, NVIDIA, and Kakao across images, video, and audio, with Apple listed as coming. It only reports whether a supported watermark is present — not whether a file is AI-made — but it's a free provenance signal you can fold into a moderation or content pipeline. Sign-in and a daily quota apply.
Deno is joining Cloudflare
Cloudflare is acquiring Deno. The runtime gets roughly a year of monthly bug and security releases before active development winds down, and the project stays open source. The team's celld — an open implementation of Durable Objects — becomes the foundation for Cloudflare's self-hosting plans. If you ship on the Deno runtime or Deno Deploy, it's worth mapping a migration path now.
