Apple opens Keynote, Pages and Numbers to any MCP agent
Its most closed apps get an open door for agents, plus beta AI assistants across iWork and Logic Pro — as Gemini Robotics ER 2 and Particle-1 land for devs.

External agents can now drive Keynote, Pages and Numbers
Apple's Creator Studio update adds Model Context Protocol support to Keynote, Pages and Numbers, letting outside AI agents read, edit and automate actions inside the apps. For Apple's most locked-down creative suite, that's a real hook — point a Claude or Codex agent at it to generate and restructure native slides, docs and sheets. Mac-only, macOS 27 required.
Document-aware assistants land across iWork and Logic Pro
The same update drops beta AI assistants that understand document context into Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Logic Pro, and upgrades Pixelmator Pro's Generate Fill to take plain-language edits. All of it is US-English-only to start.
The catch: November, macOS 27 and $12.99/mo
It's not live today — the update reaches the App Store in November. The assistants need an Apple-Intelligence device on iOS, iPadOS or macOS 27; MCP support needs macOS 27. Creator Studio runs $12.99/mo or $129/yr, and existing subscribers get it free.
Gemini Robotics ER 2 is callable in public preview
Google's embodied-reasoning model is live in Model Garden as gemini-robotics-er-2-preview. It plans multi-step robot tasks, verifies whether each step worked, and calls the VLA models or navigation APIs you declare as tools — hitting 91.3% accuracy pinpointing a key event frame. If you're building agents that touch the physical world, you can prompt it today.
Particle-1: a leaner coding model from Suhail Doshi
Mixpanel and Playground founder Suhail Doshi's new Advanced Inference Group shipped Particle-1, a post-trained DeepSeek V4.1 Flash served over an API. It reportedly finishes coding and data-engineering tasks in fewer output tokens than its base model across four benchmarks — the same work for a cheaper run.
