Spend limits, now in real dollars
Claude Code's app-gateway spend limits stopped showing only a percentage bar and now print the actual figure — e.g. "$271.40 / $500.00 spent this month" — so you see your burn before you hit the cap. Auto Mode also gains a "Yes, but ask again next time" choice on read-permission prompts, so a single grant no longer silently becomes permanent.
/mcp reconnect all
A flaky MCP server used to force a full session restart; v2.1.284 adds "/mcp reconnect all" to retry every failed connection in place. The same build fixes MCP tool calls in resumed sessions that were dying with "No such tool available," so picking a session back up no longer breaks its tools.
Broken streams retry instead of spilling JSON
Damaged response streams now retry automatically instead of dumping raw JSON errors into your terminal, and the "Prompt is too long" error that lingered even after compaction is fixed. New keybindings let you rebind the effort slider (increase/decrease) and toggle Ultracode.
Vercel quietly opens Pixel Canary, free
