Meta ships Muse Spark Open: 816B open weights, 1M context

816B total, 42B active, 1M context
Muse Spark Open is a sparse mixture-of-experts — 816B parameters with just 42B active per token and a 1M-token window, tuned for long agentic coding runs. Meta is calling it the most capable US open-weight model to date, releasing the frontier weights it declined to open back in May.
Four clouds to download, seven hosts to call
Weights are posted on Hugging Face, Amazon SageMaker, Google Cloud Model Garden and Microsoft Foundry, with hosted inference already live on Groq, Fireworks, Together, OpenRouter, Baseten, Modal and Nebius. You don't need the hardware to try it — point an API key at one host today and swap to another on price.
Running it locally still takes two $10K+ Macs
Meta's reference local setup pairs two 512GB M5 Ultra Mac Studios on Apple's MLX — and the 512GB machine isn't shipping yet, while the 256GB one already tops $10,000. The license permits only limited commercial use and most benchmark numbers are Meta's own, so read the terms before you build on it.
Krea 3 edits 2K images in under 8s for $0.06
Krea's new editing model clocks sub-8-second edits against ~27s for Nano Banana Pro, at $0.06 an image, with regional edits, up to eight image references, character consistency and voice-driven changes. It ships with Photoshop, Premiere and Blender plugins plus fal, Baseten, Together and Civitai distribution — production image editing at roughly half the going rate.
