Context Mode: an MCP server that slashes AI agents' context bloat
The open-source server sandboxes tool output and keeps session state across 17 agents — plus a native Rust IDE and a syntax-aware git difftool worth a look.

Stop burning your context window on tool output
Context Mode runs as an MCP server that routes an agent's tool calls through a sandbox — the project claims up to ~98% less context spent on raw output — and stores session state in SQLite so work survives a compaction. Install with `npm install -g context-mode`; it lists hook-based routing for Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Gemini CLI and Copilot CLI, and a plain instruction file for the rest. Fewer 'context window full' stalls on long agent runs.
A native IDE, rebuilt in Rust
OpenIDEA ports IntelliJ IDEA's keymap, tool windows and search-everywhere to a Tauri/Rust app with an editor, debugger, Git, terminal and DB/HTTP clients across 60+ languages, on macOS, Windows and Linux. It's Apache-2.0 and downloadable now; the speed numbers it posts against IntelliJ are self-reported. A free, lighter desktop to try if JetBrains startup time grates on you.
Character-level diffs for AI-written code
OmniDiff is a Rust `git difftool` that highlights only the characters that changed instead of whole lines, parsing 24 languages with tree-sitter and falling back to plain text otherwise. It ships an interactive TUI, a headless mode for CI and JSON output for editors; install via cargo, Homebrew, apt or Nix. AGPL-3.0, with accuracy still being tuned — handy for reviewing agent edits where only a token moved.
