Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments is GA: agents autonomously pay for protected APIs, MCP servers, and paywalled content through Stripe and Coinbase stablecoin wallets over the x402 and new Machine Payment Protocol. Payment Sessions cap max spend and set an expiry at the infrastructure layer, so a runaway loop can't drain the wallet.
Build this weekend: a pay-per-use agent
A three-line Strands plugin — or LangGraph middleware, the AgentCore CLI, from Claude Code or Codex — lets an agent buy only the tools a task needs: pay-per-inference model routing, a paywalled research API, a hotel booking over MCP, then stop when the budget is spent.
Claude's browser-use tool ships GA
The new client toolset browser_toolset_20260801 is out of beta and drives a browser your app hosts — reading the page accessibility tree, filling forms, managing tabs, reporting downloads, and screenshot-and-click. Live on Claude Fable 5, Mythos 5, Opus 5, Sonnet 5, and Opus 4.8.
Computer use batches its actions
computer_toolset_20260801 also left beta — no beta header — and now runs multiple actions per turn instead of one per model call, cutting round-trips and tokens per task. Zoom is on by default, with per-member configs.
