  • Every agent gets its own database

Supabase raised $150M (led by GIC) and is acquiring Turso, the Rust-based, SQLite-compatible engine that spins a fresh database up as a file in milliseconds — exactly what AI agents want, since they now create ~70% of Supabase's 4M new databases a month. Turso Database stays open source with no forced migrations, and you can graduate from SQLite to Postgres (and on to petabyte scale via Multigres) as a project grows.

  • Copilot CLI hardens its sandbox, adds GPT-6.1 Sol

GitHub Copilot CLI 1.0.91 (Oct 1) adds full proxy-CA trust management — check, create, trust, rotate, and remove — and runs sandboxed commands on Windows builds that lack filesystem enumeration, so Windows users finally get the same guardrails. Read-only, statically analyzable shell pipelines now pass through evidence review instead of stopping for approval. The prior 1.0.90 dropped GPT-6.1 Sol into the model picker and added a `--mcp-github-auth` flag that scopes your GitHub token to approved MCP server origins.
