Claude Code 2.1.290–291 fix /loop resume and image-session stalls
Back-to-back releases also stop /ultrareview from silently dropping uncommitted work on Windows and keep cloud sessions from losing your permission answers.

/loop finally survives compaction
2.1.290 fixes scheduled `/loop` tasks silently failing to come back after a conversation gets compacted. If you run autonomous or long-running loops, they now resume instead of quietly dying mid-run.
Image-heavy sessions stop stalling
Long sessions with hundreds of images no longer get stuck on 'Request rejected as unprocessable' errors. Screenshot-driven and vision-heavy workflows can run much further before hitting a wall.
/ultrareview won't eat uncommitted work
On Windows, `/ultrareview` was dropping uncommitted changes without warning — a real data-loss bug, now patched in 2.1.290. Your working tree is safe to review again.
Partial session names now work
`claude attach <name>` and `claude logs <name>` now accept partial session names, so you no longer need the full ID to reattach or pull logs. Small, but it kills a daily copy-paste.
Cloud sessions keep your approvals
2.1.291, shipped today, fixes a 2.1.290 regression where cloud sessions could drop answers to permission prompts, plus a bug that lost a session's last messages on quit. Cloud runs now hold onto approvals and final output.
New hooks for mod authors
2.1.290 adds `serverToolUses` to the `turn.step` hook (advisor tool calls with ids and timings), `agentId` to `tool.check`, and a `ceiling` approval level. Plugin and mod builders get finer visibility and control.
